Nintendo Wii U Release Dates, Prices, and Final Details Announced





Yesterday, Nintendo officially announced the release dates and final details of their next long-awaited video game console and successor to the Wii, the Wii U.





The Wii U will be released on November 18 in North America, November 30 in Europe, and December 8 in Japan. The Wii U will be released in two different sets. The Basic Set contains a white-colored Wii U console, which holds 8 gigabytes of internal storage. The Deluxe Set (Premium Set in Japan) contains a black-colored Wii U console, which holds 32 gigabytes of internal storage. The Deluxe Edition will also have Nintendo Land, the Wii U GamePad stand, the Wii U GamePad cradle, and the Wii U console stand. The Basic Set is priced at $299.99 in North America and ¥26,250 (including tax) in Japan. The Deluxe Set is priced at $349.99 in North America and ¥31,500 (including tax) in Japan. Prices in Great Britain and the rest of Europe are not officially disclosed yet.
